Disney is super hot right now especially with the return of fireworks and reduced social distancing and mask requirements
The ability to fully enjoy your vacation can depend on your planning and patience.
With new rules in place, limited dining options and pent up demand post covid, you’ll find that parks are much “busier” than before.
First and foremost, you’ll want to make sure that you’re using the “my Disney experience” app on your phone or tablet. You do not have to stay on Disney property to utilize this.
In your app, you will have access to park reservations, showtimes, dining reservation, park hours, ride wait times and maps. \
To avoid having to spend all day waiting in lines, you’ll want to arrive at your park approximately 15 minutes before opening time. This is the best time to get in a few “must” do rides.
I suggest booking one dining reservation per day if you’d like to enjoy a sit down meal. These meals can become pricey so check the menu before booking. It’s a great time to cool off ( I suggest a mid day meal) and regroup.
Mid- day dining (between 2-4 pm) are some of the easiest times to get yourself a reservation. I suggest this because you can take a break at your resort around dinner time when the pools are less busy.
At the end of the day, crows disperse and usually wind up closest to a fireworks display area. However, there are lots of ways to enjoy the fireworks and my favorite places are not in the parks!
I take the walkway or a boat across seven seas lagoon to the grand Floridian OR the Polynesian resort. You do NOT have to be a resort guest to visit. At the Polynesian, you can watch the magic kingdom fireworks on the beach while enjoying a dole whip.
At the grand Floridian, you can enjoy the fireworks with a delicious cocktail from the enchanted rose lounge or from the boat dock. A great evening dinner reservation at narcossee restaurant is a beautiful restaurant with full glass on the water, they have a great view of fireworks.
But how do we get back to our hotel after a fireworks show without being stuck in the worlds longest lines ever?!
Take a boat to the nearest resort (even if it isn’t your home resort) and always use an Uber or Lyft. It’s worth a few dollars to avoid the headache of a monorail, skyline rod a bus so late in the evening.
My Favorite Resorts
Beach club if you love Epcot. This resort is closest to Epcot, you can walk there in just a few minutes. A short boat ride will also take you to Epcot, Hollywood studios or the boardwalk. Very conveniently located. They also have the best rated pools in all of Disney. A lazy river, sand bottom pool and water slide. Lots of fun for the kids. I rate this one “best family resort”
The grand Floridian is a classic Disney hotel with a vintage disney feel. It is a beautiful hotel and is only moment away from the magic kingdom. You can ride a monorail, boat or take a walkway to the magic kingdom easily. Excellent food and the best customer service. Pools are just “ok” but you’re paying for location here.
The Polynesian is an excellent choice for those of you who prefer a more relaxing Hawaiian vibe. They have two pools. One with water slides and one “adult” pool. This resort recently had some renovations. If your kiddos love stitch or Moana, this is the place to stay. It’s also an easy boat ride to magic kingdom. At this time, the monorail service is suspended temporarily due to renovations.
Stay tuned for more Disney tips-especially about reservations!!

I was looking for some really cute outdoor pillows that look just like my favorite Lilly Pulitzer designs. After some research, I found a way to recreate those amazing pillows and it's so simple!
Ready?! Follow the instructions below:
Materials Needed
1. Lilly Pulitzer Shower Curtain
2. 3 to 4 Pillows *You can use some around the house if you have them*
3. Fabric Fusion Permanent Fabric Adhesive, Clear
4. Fun trim such as Pom Pom Trim
5. Hot Glue Sticks
6. Hot Glue Gun
Instructions
1. Go to either Ebay or Amazon and look up Lilly Pulitzer shower curtain. You want to use a shower curtain so they are water proof. I found some really good deals on Ebay. I have linked an example here.
1. Go to either eBay, Amazon or even Pottery Barn and look up Lilly Pulitzer shower curtain. You want to use a shower curtain so they are water proof. I found some really good deals on eBay. I have linked an example here from Amazon.
2. Gather 3 to 4 pillows to cover. This project should make between 3 to 4 pillows. Another tip is if you have pillows around the house you are not using, you can reuse those. (See I told you this was easy and cheap!)
3. Next you will measure the pillows and cut the shower curtain with enough material to cover the pillow. You will use clear fabric glue to adhere the material to the pillow.
4. Let the fabric glue dry. Once the glue is dry, you can add fringe or even pom pom trim to make it fun!! You will want to use hot glue for any kind of fun trim!
]]>Please meet the adorable -Daisy Mae.
From day one, bringing home this little bundle of joy has been the sweetest time and we love her!! A lot of people associate bringing home a new puppy with stress. But if you are prepared with the right supplies, you can have a great transition like us.
Summer is here and outdoor play time is a regular part of Daisy Mae's day. There are some times during the day that playing inside is a must. Instead of letting her roam all over the house, we give her a spacious area to play in.
We also let her use this outside and it has worked wonders.
One of the first things we bought was these chew bones toys that are so good for puppies. These little cute faces love to chew so making sure you are stocked with things to chew will prevent them chewing on your things!
We love giving Daisy Mae the space to run and play while outside. One of my concerns was her roaming off though. We got this wireless dog fence and it is amazing! It works perfect and also helps train her where the boundaries are for the house.
Lastly and certainly not least, this padded papoose carrier helps me carry Daisey Mae around and just love on her! Remember puppies are only little but for so long!!
Let me know what you think of these tips! Do you have any new puppy tips or tricks you swear by?
]]>Once finished, I sprayed the pole and top cap white!
You can glue a finial to the umbrella top cap for fun and you can also add white piping trim to the umbrella top flap!
